We have an instructor that wants to hide all category totals and course totals. We were able to hide the totals, however when we added a test student to the course, so that the instructor could log in as the test student and verify that the totals were hidden, our new student was able to see all the hidden totals. We retested this several times with the same results. We went back to the gradebook, redid the gradebook settings to hide the totals and the problem was corrected.
Our concern is that we have a number of courses where instructors have created custom calculations and hidden course and category totals. We are concerned that students that are added to courses late will not see the gradebooks as intended and that there will actually be multiple gradebook views. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know of any work arounds? This makes the customization of course grades difficult.
We are using Moodle 1.9.11 and are hosted.
