Thanks for the reply. It sounds like the first thing I need to do is upgrade to 2.1 and get to know the new options before I get started. At this point I don’t have any user data to transfer so now is the time. As I mentioned, I’m new to Moodle and I appreciate the up-front advice to change now; and I will.
I have another post out there about a blank display after a user takes a quiz that I can’t figure out so I’ve gotten stalled out in getting it up and running. It may be a mute point in 2.1 so I’ll get that done first. I’ll post back when I get it upgraded (hopefully tomorrow) and let you know if the grading issue went away.
Unfortunately, I’m not at the tech level to write code so I’ll have to get the questions penalties done another way, but that is good info about the penalty factor. At this point most of my questions are multiple choice.
