I have downloaded 4.3 FAT but there is something in the accompanying instructions that make me very nervous. It says, "If you have previous certificate installed be sure that database was actualized, this version requires some database alterations."
We've recently migrated our existing online educational system to Moodle, which required hiring someone to modify databases to import our several thousand existing students, records, etc. We had a way to generate PDF certificates after successful course completion on the old site, but that was not Moodle based. Migrating the data was a long, complex process, but we've finally rolled out the new site. I wonder how installing this might affect existing databases, student records, etc. Can anyone begin to offer me some guidance or words of advice based on their own experiences?
