I am working with an instructor who submitted grades to the Gradebook last week, and the logs show that he did submit Grades. However, the grades have now disappeared and are not in the spreadsheet. Is there anyway that I can recover the Grades?
Is that activity still in the course or was it deleted?
He added a course under Assignments for offline grading. Yes, the assignment is still listed. He added all the grades for 41 students. He said that he clicked "Save all my feedback". But, he doesn't recall that he saw the red alert that grades have been added. He also did not check the spreadsheet in Grades. He has added grades many times and this appeared routine.
I checked the logs and can see that he was in the course "Assignment view submissions". But the "Submission feedback updated for 41 people" does not appear.
Do you have suggestions for me. Thanks!
Do your server logs (not the moodle logs but the apache or IIS logs) show any heavy loads or other server problems at that time?
Sadly, he'll have to do the grading again, and he might want to just grade a few at a time.
Assignment with all it's comment boxes and drop down menus puts a heck of a load on the client's browser in large classes, esp. if he had comments in all 41 boxes, it can take a long time to send all that info to the server.
