I am a student at RWTH Aachen, Germany, and I am working on my diploma thesis with the title: ReST: A recommender system for teachers based on educational data mining.
I develop a stand alone recommender system for teachers which can be applied to any learning management system like Moodle or L2P (L2P is a LMS based on MS Sharepoint and is used at the RWTH Aachen).
The recommender system shall use different data mining techniques on LMS usage data like regression to give teachers some information how their own LMS usage impacts the usage behaviour of the students. Clustering algorithms shall give teachers an overview about different student groups based on their LMS usage. The recommender system uses tools like WEKA and KEEL.
Unfortunately my university can only give me usage data of the courses but no marks - without this very important attribute I cannot use (for example subgroup discovery) algorithms to give teachers feedback about their students LMS usage and the students learning success.
Therfore I am asking for students' Moodle usage datasets I can analyze in my thesis. The data may not be randomized because I need plausible data. Does anyone know where I can get such data?
