Problem installing on standalone Mac

I'm a newbie.  I downloaded Moodle 2.3_ (Mamp package) onto my Mac Air laptop. I moved the file (Moodle4Mac-MAMP-20.dmg) into my Applications folder.  When I then click on the file (it is not a folder), I get a popup screen with 5 step instructions to do what I already did.  What am I doing wrong?  Help!

I solved problem.  The file to move was within the message box - not in my Applications folder.
