Hi,

Anyone can explain what is the main idea between "Enabled but hidden" and "Disabled" in repository plugin management?

Since if we "enabled and hidden" the plugin, it will not shown on file picker. It will the same occurs when we "disabled" the plugin.

Thanks!

Regards,

Does it mean that "disabled" means nobody can use it but "enabled and hidden" means teachers in courses can decide whether they want to enable it for their course or not?

Hi Mary,

What do you mean by techers in course can decide enable it or not? Where to enable it inside a course?

Since after we "enabled and hidden", the teacher can not see in file picker.

yes -sorry - I was thinking of filters which can be enabled or disabled by teachers in courses, not repositories.

This information is from: http://www.packtpub.com/article/moodle-plugins

  • Enabled and visible: The repository will be available throughout the system.
  • Enabled but hidden: Already set up repositories will be available, but no new instances can be created. This only applies to repositories that allow multiple instances.
  • Disabled: The repository is not available in your Moodle system.
