An earlier question of mine lead to this new issue..
Is there a type of question available that allows a unit (or other text) to stand after the answer box... which isn't Cloze?
I've been experiencing problems in answer analysis when there were Cloze questions in my quiz, so I'm trying very hard to avoid them. But ideally, I would like my question to look like:
V = ........ m^3
so there is 'm^3' behind the box where students put their answers.
Ideas?

For numerical questions in Moodle 2.0, you can tell it to display a unit fater the input box.
In Moodle 2.1 (not released yet) you can write a shortansewr/numerical question text like
Moodle is a _________ management system.
and the answer box will go in place of the _____s - and be about the same length.
Calculated questions in Moodle 2.0 also have an option of a unit after the answer. I like the calculated questions because they give me the option of giving each student a slightly different question. In the calculated question you have four choices for units:
My school still needs to update to version 2.0 >.<

I have Moodle 2.2.1 and I am trying to see how to put units after the answer box. There is no option in the units to be displayed.
Any other way that I can have the units displayed after the answer box?
In 2,0 there were two input one for the number one for the answer.
In 2,1 and 2,2 we got back to one text input.
However units are often expressed with exponent like cm2 which would necessitate a specific editor. One solution is to use the multiple choice display of units among them the good one.

I guess I will need to use the Cloze question type then. All I need is for the student to refrain from putting a unit in the answer by giving him the unit.
Ways in which the problem of exponents can be solved is either by putting cm^2 which would require no special editors or use of the equation editor already in moodle. If someone wants to insert an exponent result then he can give the TEX equation code for it.
