I am missing something here. I have a staff category and only want staff to access it. I have created an All staff system cohort by messing with the database (seems the only way to do it sensibly - why can't we create a cohort by filtering users incidentally - perhaps we can and I haven't figured it out yet).
If I go to category edit Cohort and click Add I would logically expect to be able to add any System wide cohort - but I can't.
My logic would be to prevent all enrolments except by cohort sync - using the All staff cohort but my logic is obviously flawed.
Any help appreciated. No doubt there is a simple way...
Actually the more I look at it the less certain I am of the Cohort function in a Category context.
