Show certificate once user accumulates 10 points

Is there a way to show the certificate once the user accumulates a set number of points in a course?

Reasoning:  We have a course with 15 small modules that cover software features.  Each module has a quiz worth 2 points.  We want the certificate to appear once they have passed 5 quizzes worth 2 points each.  It doesn't matter which quizzes they take.

Anyone had a need to do this?

This would occur when the required knowledge varies from person to person.  For example, if teaching many software features to teachers, they can choose which features they would like to become proficient in.

This option would not show which quizes they took, but couldn't you just set your restriction on course grade? If there are 15 quizes, and they have to pass 5, you could set the course grade to 33%. Once they achieved that score in the course, the certificate would be available.

That is a creative workaround.

Would the the 33% grade show up in the gradebook?  If it does, we would have to explain that 33% is OKsmile

The 33% will not show up in the gradebook. What will show is 15 quizes each being 2 points. If the student completed 5 of the quizes, then the total points for the course will show 10 put of a possible 30. There is no gradebook entry for the certificate itself.
