Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
I have the same issue, Do you find anyting?
Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
Well it must be a feature of Mooodle , as its a very important concept in course elective management
many a elevctive or specialization courses are running on this basis only,
e.g, in india Master of Business Administration (MBA) course comprise of mailny 4-6 specialzation viz.
- MBA- Human Resourse,
- MBA- Sales and Marketing
- MBA- International Business
- MBA- Finance and Banking
- MBA- Insurance Management.
etc.
What i want is that out of these categories student must opt not more than one course,
I am deliberately waiting from any solution from any expert moodeler.
Thanks everyone,,,
Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
I agree with Ralf -I don't see how you can do this with a standard Moodle site. You could probably set up some workarounds but I can't think of anything fool proof or straight forward, sorry.
Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
Thanks Ralf and Mary for your response..
But what can be done in such a challenging case?
Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
Why not set up a choice consisting of the course titles, students can select the course they wish, enrolments can be made manually from the result.
Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
Thanks Mr. lake,
But problem is that I have to implement this enrollment system for more than 3000 students, It wont be possible to use manual enrollment , so i have to use self enrollment feature.

Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
Here's a question:
There are some Open source SMS/SIS systems.
Has anyone used one of these systems to connect quickly and simply to Moodle to enable qucker enroments (etc)?
A quick search indicated ONE (OpenSIS) with explicit statemnts that it works with Moodle:
There were a lot more that I did not follow up.

Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
I looked at that last year and put it in the parking lot. Lack of customisation was the issue. OpenSIS is written for the North American system. In AU we need to show information such as ABN and CRISCO as a mandatory. Then there is the new reporting standards we will be obliged to.
Looking at the ktree.com site it timed out waiting for Moodle info to appear. Personaly I will leave it in the parking lot for a little longer.

Re: Multiple Course Self-enrollment Restrictions in Moodle
Hi
I don't see a feature supporting this scenario.
