Hi - We're running moodle 1.9 with a basic turnitin integration - i.e. the turnitin interface runs in a frame inside moodle. Students have submitted work via a turnitin assignment. The teacher has marked them in turnitin, via the moodle integration, but the marks are not appearing in the moodle gradebook for this course. The teacher can also not override the grades manually by turning editing on in the moodle gradebook (no edit boxes appear for this assignment when the turn editing on button is clicked). I, as a moodle admininstrator, do get the edit boxes to manually override grades when I turn editing on. The teacher has had their turnitin grades report successfully to moodle gradebook in other assignments.
Turnitin support has diagnosed this as "The reason it shows up as so, is because the grade type of that column is set to "Text" in the Moodle side. I wasn't sure how to change it to "Value" but that is what is needed. I'm not sure how that happened, so they'll just need to change it to "Value" and that should be fine."
My problem is that I can't identify a way to change the assignment's grade type to 'Value' in moodle. If you try to edit the column in the gradebook, it's not alterable - it just reports the grade type as text. The moodle help says to change the grade type on the Update Activity page. If I update the assignment, that routes me to turnitin's assignment configuration. I've already tried updating the turnitin assignment settings but that doesn't force an update.
Any advice on how to proceed would be gratefully received!
