Hi,

We have a Managed Server  width:

16 GB RAM

PHP  5.3

FasTCGI + APC (recommended from the hoster)

Moodle  1.9.11 (update next to 1.9.12)

In the production phase, 500 -1000 user  are on the Server.

Which settings are the best in moodle/ Performance/ cache Type /Record cache?

APC are not a option in the select-box.

Martín Langhoff hat create a plugIn in 2008 for Moodle 1.8 .  Can it used this in Moodle 1.9?

A managed server doing less than an unmanaged one? That is the meaning of management, I guess.

No, I would tackle the problem at its roots. Caching is a part of the software layers below Moodle. Leave it to them, stay with "Do One Thing, and Do It Well".
