Today at school I was involved in an interesting discussion regarding parental engagement. Basically we require parents to access reports (not necessarily in Moodle but we are a Moodle school) on attendance, marks (including the day-to-day grades and not just the periodic and transitional grades), a page for teachers to post up files for parents to download (so we don't have to send them out via email, which parents here tend not to like), a view of the timetable and a term-by-term calendar.
I guess it's the same old problem: we have all the data... some in Moodle, some in Serco Facility (the MIS we use here), some more scattered elsewhere.
Basically I was wondering what solutions (if any) members on this forum had seen or are using... if any?
