The Paypal option is still a mystery. I've tried to follow the discussion in the thread, but it seems outdated or I just can't locate the sections it refers to. I found one part that describes how to turn on the course paypal option, but all i found was the site paypal option. Furthermore, the instructions for the pay pal site also seem outdated. Can anyone assist??

Hi there. The reason it is different is that those details in the docs are for Moodle 1.9 and you are using Moodle 2.0 I hope the docs will be updated soon. You have got it right so far - configure the Paypal option site wide via site admin>plugins>enrolments and then you need to go into a course you want to use Paypal with and, in the course admin block click users>enrolment methods. You will then have a dropdown box from which you can select paypal - as in the screenshot below:
Once you have chosen it you will get a screen with the configuration options as below :

THank you so much for posting.
I worked that out, teh course paypal optiopn is well hidden and not easy to find at all. The next step is also tricky. The course front page should show the amount of money underneath, but it just provides a strange symbol next to the dollar sign.
I can't get it to put up the amount of money.

Should it show the amount of money? I don't know - I haven't used Paypal with Moodle, but I just assumed that was the correct symbol as it was?
