I am considering using moodle to manage the academic clubs of my school. To do so, I would like to change some basic terminology in moodle from classroom themed to club themed - such as changing "course" to "club", "techer" to "club president" or whatever is suitable, and have each "class" instead be a forum where club members can post and discuss what the club's activities and business are.
I searched this website, the forums and the docs, and did not find relevant results, thus I am asking here. I am an amateur user and would like to determine if moodle suits this purpose before delving into hours of "getting familiar" time.
I have a hosting company with moodle installed where I can test run any configuration. I have not yet seen settings referring to the changes I am asking about.
Is this something moodle can currently do? Is it possible/where can I get help with configuring a website with this purpose in mind? Any feedback would be appreciated.
