I am very new to both Moodle and Hot Potatoes. The replies to my post on Moodle quizzes were very helpful but I have since found Hot Potatoes. I have been reading around both programs and have tried to create a Moodle quiz, followed tutorials and even changed source code in Hotpot. (I think that Hotpot might be more what I need rather than Moodle quizzes.) I have a few questions that may seem very simple about Hotpot- so here goes. What I am trying to do is along these lines:-
a) Create a multiple choice Hotpot quiz
b) Provide pupils with 75 questions and create a quiz of 10 questions that are selected randomly from the 75 questions.
c) I have been able to “turn off” the popup that gives immediate feedback but I would like the pupils to get the correct answers and related feedback that I entered in the HotPot, about their right/wrong answers after they complete the 10 random questions.
d) I would like the button to change colour and remain changed when clicked, I would also like the buttons to operate like the radio buttons in the Moodle when the pupil changes his choice and to be centered on the page (I got the possible answers centred but not the buttons.)
e) I would also like the pupil/parent to get results of past attempts, to what would be different random tests, with eg date ,time, score as a percentage, best score, average score on this question type etc
Then add the Hotpot to my moodle site. I think that some of this is done in Moodle and some in HotPotatoes. A friend is offering help with the Moodle bit but if I can learn this for MC questions I hope that I can then use this with other question types. My reading mentions Quizport--is Quizport relevant to all this ?
Would appreciate any help,
