I am not able to save the front page description. I get message 'Settings Saved' after clicking on Save Changes but can't see anything on the front page. I tried the same after turning editing on but doesnt help.
I have checked related posts but no solution. I an using formal_white theme.

now i can see site description but i can only move it between right or left col. How do i place it in the middle of the page?
I would also like to know how to place the Site description in the middle of the Front Pgae. I am also using 1.9.
I have discovered how to have a Topic appear on the "Front Page". Is there a way to not have the topic visible when logged in?
I don't believe there is a way to disable the Site Topic when logged in, unless you hard code it into the header.

Hi Rick,
The discription is added as a block in the top right of the page. I think Guido means is that you can delete that side block. And in the Site Topic area ADD a 'Label' using the Resources option (in the drop-down menu). A Label is a way of adding text/images whatever to your site.
