Can I manually make a link to the glossary popup window? or open a similar popup window?

I am using glossaries with autolinking and it is working very well. BUT sometimes I want to open the glossary popup window manually from some text. I can't create use the keyword to define the text as a autolink as the text will occur in many places and I only want it to be a link in one place.

If I copy the autotext link, the Moodle filter will disable it by entering an X infront of onclick (see below with the first paragraph being the link that I typed into a wiki and Moodle then disabled it).

My questions are:

  • can I manually create a link to a glossary popup window?
  • can I manually create a link to a popup window (like the glossary)?
  • where do I turn off the filter that places an X infront onclick?

Any assistance gratefully received,
