Signature not showing on certificate

Signature not showing on certificate

I am migrating from one server to another. On my active server the signature on the certificate shows. On the new server it does not show the signature. I have the same signature.png file in both the signature folder. What am I doing wrong?

I am assuming that you migrated the complete certificate module and moodle data as well.

Did the server migrate from Windows OS to Linux/Unix OS? The Linux file system is case-sensitive, so it is possible that the certificate type file expects a Signature.PNG-file while the actual file name is signature.png (all lowercase letters) and will not be found.

They were both a Linux os. The case issue was the forst thing I looked at. Not sure where else to look.

You don't understand file permissions? Hmm OK I'll keep it simple- file permissions controll how something- anything can be accessed. Try setting the sig file to 777 and see if that resolves the issue. The how to really depends on what kind of server and operating system you moodle is on.
