Do you allow Timed Posts feature in your installation?
If yes, and if you are an admin, try clicking Edit link for one of the posts. Most probably you will see that Display start area has some date in the Display End.
You can adjust it there, or if there are a lot of them, override forum permissions and allow students to see timed hidden posts.
