I have finished moodle installation, it was successfull. When I press "log in" the browser goes to http://www.alternativereality.com/ and write that the site is under construction. Is there anything missing I should do?
I also can't see the administrator button on the left.

It seems to me that your Apache serves index.html as default home page for your site. You may want to check if Apache allows also index.php as default home page.
The more, probably you have installed Moodle in a subfolder (currently there are no accessible index.php in the site root folder), thus to acces you should point your browser to . mooldesubfolder/index.php
