I'm looking at getting the Moodle 1.9 gradebook to give an aggregate for each of several criteria, all graded on an E- to A+ scale. I've set up Outcomes for each criteria and assigned the scale. The outcomes will be used and graded in the assessment items.
I've then set up a category for each of the criteria, and made its Grade Type to Scale. On each assessment piece I've selected a category, but since each assessment has multiple criteria (which match the category), this won't quite do it. So I've gone into Categories and Items and moved the items for each criteria into their required categories, and renamed them so they are recognisable eg Test 1 Knowledge, Test 1 Process.
It seems to work, but would welcome any suggestions to simplify the process as I need to teach some teachers how to set this up.
