This is the first time using hot potatoes software. I created a drag and drop task (matching pictures and words). It works fine, however I have loaded the task onto the moodle site at school and two pictures do not load, instead I get the name of the file. Any idea on what to do. Thanks
Hi Marie-Ange. Could you go through the steps you took to upload your hotpotatoes file and your pictures to Moodle please? It might just be that the got lost on the way Also -what are the filenames and filetypes of the pictures?
Also, could you confirm that you uploaded your pictures to your Moodle site along with the Hot Potatoes file.
Hi, thanks for you reply.
I first look at a video un Utube to show me how to do it. I created an activity under hot potatoes quiz , write the tiltle and under choose or upload a file, I loaded all the pictures + the htm file and the jmt file. Then save and display. Only two pictures do not appear!
Oh dear - I am sorry to hear that your images are misbehaving.
Could you upload your files to my server and recreate the HotPot activity there so that we can all work on it together:
- URL: http://bateson.kanazawa-gu.ac.jp/moodle/19/mysql/
- Course: Couse Fullname 101
- Username: guestteacher
- Password: quizportv09
Thank you for uploading the JMatch file to my server and using it to create a HotPot activity in my Moodle 19 course.
I had a look at the activity, and I noticed that the file names for the missing pictures are for image files that do not exist. (see screen shot).
You can fix your JMatch exercise as follows:
- fix the "src" of the pastry image file
OLD: pain au chocolat.jpg
- fix the "src" of the chocolate drink image
OLD: hot chocolate.jpg
all the best
