we have to tackle something that some of our users regard as a privacy issue. Our Moodle (1.9.) is configured to show the names of course teachers in the course description (set in variable "coursecontact"). This makes teachers' names visible even for users that are not logged in. Some of our teachers would prefer to have there names visible only for logged-in users. I have not found a possibility to do that. As far as I can see, you can only switch coursecontact on / of globally, not depending on the user's login status.
This seems to be true for 2.0 as well.
We do, however, feel that teachers need to be visible at some point in order to enable users to contact them in case they want to join a course.
Any solution for that? Any hint is greatly appreciated.
