Now that I know how to convert 1.4.x style blocks into 1.5 style blocks, I have to act quickly, before I forget all of this new stuff...
I already converted the blocks which display an analog clock. Since there are already too many blocks and since the new code for blocks allows each teacher to configure a block, I decided to merge the two blocks into one and leave it up to the teacher to decide which gets displayed. (I can't really imagine someone wishing to display two of them at the same time, then again even this is possible with the new block code)
Now I also made another block which seems like a good candidate to include in this 'time'-block. It displays the hebrew and muslim date for today. I teach religion and this seemed like a good idea to broaden my students' horizons. At the moment it displays the names of days and months for the western calendar in Dutch only and I can't really get it to work with other languages. Two questions:
a) is anyone interested in such a block?
b) if so, can someone help me with the translation issues?
(I hope no one is offended because I left out all of the other calendars. If you find a good script to calculate any of them, I will gladly include it.)
Take a look at three timebased blocks here
