Dear All,
I have a big problem, we have around 500 students in a college and from these 500 we want only 20 students to enroll into a particular course and after that like 21st student try to enroll into this course then it will display a message that this course is full, please look into other course.
Please help me out in this issue as it is urgent matter tobe solved...

Easy:
Set up a page for course selections and enrol your 500 students.
Put in a choices option with the names of the courses that you want to make available, and the course limits. (Make the names the same as the shortname for the course).
Open the choices to students. On closing or when full, export the choices to a spreadsheet.
Select the students who need to go into the courses, and copy the information into the format required for bulk upload users.
Run the upload, which will put the 20 students into your course(s)
In the settings of the self-enrolment-method of each course you can define the max. no. of users. Doesn't that work?
