In moodle 2, common module setting does not shows grade category option. How can i add category option in common mudule setting block in quiz edit area.
Pl advise.

Hmm.. yes.. somebody posted the same query a couple of weeks ago - I must be missing something obvious here
Was this possible in 1.9? I was not aware anything had changed in 2.0 (perhaps it should have done) but I may be confused. A screen-shot or two might help un-confuse me.

Id number is available in both 1.9 and 2.0.
I think it is some issue relating to the sequence of action. One should come first before doing other. Like category should have been created before seting up quiz.
I tried it also but it still does not work, and showing quiz on the main category.
Yes - I know about ID number - I am thinking it might be an oversight - we will wait and see what the Quizmeister (Tim) thinks.
Yes. An oversight. Please file in the tracker if it is not already there. (If it is already there, remind me of the bug number.)

In what table in the Moodle 2 database is the ID Number field in this Common module settings field stored?

I have found a work around using the gradebook item/category view. You can manually move quizzes into the correct categories. However, when I do a bulk move by selecting several quizzes at once it seems to corrupt the format of the page (categories are and items are shifted right for some reason). I am using moodle 2.1.1.
The calculations in the gradebook seem to be working correctly.
