In the main course site I can see the number of courses in the category. The number of courses counts only the number of courses in the category, but not the number of courses in category and subcategory.
So the students see that in a category are 0 courses and they can't see that in the subcategory are alos some courses. I think it is better that the number of courses in the category counts also the number of number in the subcategories of the category.
Is it possible to change this?

At the moment the number of courses only seems to show the number of courses that are directly inside the category and not in child or grandchild categories. I agree that this is confusing for students and posted a bug to the bug tracker in August.
Please vote (or even offer to fund the nullification of) the bug here!
