Who's online?

Hi all!

Is it possible to show the actually number of users who are online at the same time using the moddle? I build up a moddle site and want to show the number of users, after login, directly in the left menu?

Is there still a little hack for something like this, or has anybody a good tip for me to do that by myself?

no tips here, but i'm not entirely sure how reliable this would be. Given the stateless nature of HTTP, it's hard to figure out how many people actually are online. While all would have to log in, it's quite likely that most would not log out. Just closing the browser is good enough, although the server would never know about this.

I suppose looking for people who've been active in the last 10 minutes or so would make sense. Looking at the currentlogin field of mdl_user would help.
