Hi guys,
I was wondering is there any way of enhancing the functionality to students? What i mean is on the menu for students (when they enter a course) there are only two items - Profile and Grades...is there a way for me to add for example Fees Paid, or Current Balance, Invoices, Certificates Issued, etc... ?

that´s all with you - means, you (admin) can give multiple rights to your students. Based on your examples with fees paid, current balance, invoices... there is a plugin Activity Module: Course ordering and invoicing; you can build an additional side block 'html' (with or without name) and link to the payments/orders/... of this module;
also you can link out of the block to certificates or what else you want.
Nearly all blocks you can make accessible by roles.
