We are using consuming land and if this trend continues will there be an adequate supply for dwelling and food. In all regions of the world?

Absolutely not. The obvious solution is to start a really serious war (keeping carefully out of it ourselves, of course) and sell guns to everybody else. The drop in world population, especially if the crazy Ayatollahs get their way, will hopefully be quite dramatic, therefore ensuring that there are adequate resources for those of us smart enough to duck when the missiles arrive.

Not everybody will agree: there's always some goody-two-shoes who thinks that we should all starve or eat lots of lettuce and organic cow droppings just to ensure that the people who live in silly places and can't grow food can have pizza for dinner. Still, maybe they'll go and join the war and that'll be yet another problem solved.

However, is this really a question for a moodle forum?

NO. This was a question about land and sustainability, environmental management, environmental science. Achieving sustainability will enable the Earth to continue supporting human life as we know it. The management of human consumption of resources, which is based on information gained from economics. Sustainability economics involves ecological economic where social, cultural, health-related and monetary/ financial aspects are integrated.
