Hello Moodlers!!!

I'm looking to do something rather simple but would prefer to poke the community in order to get a feel for it before I start hacking at the code...

I would like to ADD, not overwrite, an icon to course resources based on information provided by the teachers in the resource description. The validation part, ie querying the database and fetching the resources that do have a special mention in their description is easy enough for me, but the part I'm kinda struggling with is the actual addition of a secondary icon besides the resource images on the left of the resource name (cf. screenshot; I'd like to conditionally place a secondary icon where the red squares are)... Plus, I'm obviously also concerned about updating and all that, so I'm wondering where would be the safest place and/or how would be the safest way to add the proper code for such an implementation...
