Cannot skip question in Moodle lesson

Hi, I've set up a number of lessons on Moodle with questions in between.

The students sometimes couldn't get the answers correct. Why can't the student skip the question? The system somehow kept returning the student to the question that s/he couldn't answer.

Hi, While editing Lesson's settings in Flow control there is an option to set up a number of Maximum number of attempts. Help says:

"This setting specifies the maximum number of attempts allowed for each question. If answered incorrectly repeatedly, when the maximum is reached, the next page of the lesson is displayed."

I have set it to 3 times but the funciton did not work in Matching question page. I tried 5 times and was still at the same quesiton. May be it depends on the question page type or any other settings in Lesson?
