Am using the self-registration method for my students to create thier accounts.
when they create a new account, they receive a confirmation email from a sender that is not registered to me (i am the admin of the moodle site). The email address is totally strange to me.
my question, how can I edit the sender address for the confirmation emails (I want my email address)
am using moodle 1.9.9

I experienced a similar problem. Here is how I fixed it:
Site Administration -> Server -> Email
I added my name and email address (I am the site administrator) to the Support Name and Support Email boxes (even though Moodle was printing the correct information in the grayed out "default" area beside the blank text boxes, the information did not start displaying correctly until I added it into the text boxes manually).
