We are a developing university group from Barcelona, and we are working in an integration of moodle an eyeOs (http://www.eyeos.org/).
Our meaning idea -and the reason because we started- is to create a complete environment for education, creating an application for eyeOs of moodle.
so.. here we go: Education + EyeOs + Moodle = EducME .. www.educme.org, the website is not ready, but it will be soon!
Any ideas, suggestion, support .. whatever you want to say will we good received!

Well, we think that Moodle and EyeOs are good partners to work together:
- Both are GNU, written in PHP.
- Moodle does not have a desktop for the students/teachers, where they can organize and work: Store files, write documents, manage their e-mail....
- EyeOs gives every student the same desktop everywhere, in the school, at home in an internet cafe or the public library. No software licenses, no installation problems.
But not even that, EyeOs may allow moodle to have a trully Ajax interface, where most of the time, only a small part of the data is loaded, making the system faster and more usable.
From the other side, EyeOs does not have any of the e-learning tools of moodle, that are needed to perform a course.
We will try to use the Moddle API to connect both toos via web services, and generate a proof of concept with some basic functionalities.
I will tutor, Jose Raul in this task and I think that he can do a good job,

In this first version, we have a combined login between eyeOS and Moodle. And we made a special interface for assignments and submissions (online and one file type) with the new qooxdoo interface.
