I have just looked at Moodle 2, the file picker looks interesting but is there a way to get back in and look at your files after you have up loaded them and can you unzip and move files around?
Hi James. Yes to both of your questions, but I think it might have been better posed in the General forum of Using Moodle as you raise a big issue here: in Moodle 2.0 the way files are handled is very different from 1.9 and if you are used to having your documents visible in folders in the course files area it will take some getting used to. Rather than give a long answer here, if you go over to the Using Moodle forums and search there you might find the question asked before and various answers. In short, files are not uploaded into course files (where you can easily see them) anymore but they are attached to the item or section where you upload them - so if you put an image in topic summary 3 for example, that is where you would go to find it. Also there is alink "recent files" which shows you the files you recently uploaded as a quick find. You can upload and unzip folders as before; once uploaded there will be a little icon to the right offering you the chance to unzip it and display it. I'll stop there but there are more possibilities for making the move to 2.0 easier (look for private files and legacy course files too)
