I'm not sure if this question belongs here or under Getting Started. But here's the question.
1. I create 4 courses and assign them to a Metacourse.
2. I set an enrollment key on the Metacourse.
Does this mean that no students can take any of the 4 courses unless they have the Metacourse's enrollment key?
Also, I would like to be able to hide the courses that are assigned to the metacourse from all students who do not have the enrollment key. Is it possible to do that?
And my rationale for this is that we have several customers where we want to have one customer (50-100 students) see only their classes, another customer (400 students) see only their classes, etc. And the problem is... I have not found anyway for this to work in Moodle--other than going the enrollment key route. I thought the group function might serve this purpose, but it looks like I cannot create a course and say 'Only Groups 1, 2 and 5 can take this.' We ran some tests to try to do this, but the students regardless of group could still see all the classes.
