Hello Team,
I'm setting up a second Moodle server. Basically I'm going to change from one server to a new and faster server. I've set up Moodle before, and its working fine on the old server. I started the installation process this morning on the new server but I'm running into a problem I don't know how to correct.
The server is working, apache and PHP seem to be fine as does MySQL. When I run the install script it pass's the setup until it gets to the database creation. I put in the correct information yet it returns;
"We could not connect to the database you specified. Please check your data base settings"
I can't figure out whats wrong. I've configured everything the same way I did the old server, using the same versions of RedHat and Moodle. Basically just following the install instructions.
I'm guessing I'm missing something simple but I'm sure not seeing it. I was hoping to be able to work on the server over vacation. (horrible isn't it?) But I can't work out this issue for some reason.
Any thoughts? I'd appreciate any help. thanks.
