Dragmath : blank workspace

Dragmath : blank workspace

Hi!

I've set up a fresh 1.9 install and a dragmath unzip. When launching sth with the html ediotr, the dragmath icon appears, but the workspace remains blank wherever I clik. I thought it was a java related problem, but the demo here http://www.dragmath.bham.ac.uk/demo.html runs ok. I have updated java with no result.

Thanks

It is unclear if you are saying that the dragmath app is not coming up at all,  or that the app is coming up (it is a separate pop-up ) but that it is not functioning.  One way to test functioning is to invoke dragmath from its URL (http://yourdomain/lib/DragMath/DragMath%20Demonstration.html) as you installed it in your moodle (as opposed to invoking it through moodles editor.)

Additional information on what to post vis-a-vis seeking assistance is discussed here http://docs.moodle.org/en/Dragmath

It's exactly the same thing related here: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=120535 Now I'm trying to setup moodle weekly build 1.9 in another host. For your information, the weird behaviour of the dragmath editor happened in a host with the moodle setup made by means of fantastico scripts, and it wasn't the last weekly build. Cheers

I have published certain guidelines as far as troubleshooting: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Dragmath#Before_Posting_to_the_Forum

The info you provide does not address all the steps identified in the doc,  so I am not sure what to tell you.  Could you please follow the steps identified and post all the specifics.

The process by which moodle is installed should normally not effect DragMath's operation.  But if you didn't install dragmath as specified in the docs, all manner of things could be at issue.

Thanks

As I recall, the problem described by Sal can occur because of low screen resolution. the size of the pop-up window is set in one of the integration files, but in that case a) the demo run from your server should work fine, b) you will not see portions of the DragMath app when invoked within htmlarea.

Pablo does not indicate whether he tried the demo, and it is unclear to me that he is not seeing all the dragmath window (and since their is an illustration in the docs, stating that the windows does not appear as in the docs,  or that ony a portion of the window as appears in the docs windows would be a dead give-away,  but is not something that Pablo seems to note.
