Security and privacy

Don't know if this is the correct forum, but I set up my Moodle a few days ago.  With my admin user name there is no problems when I log in.  The student profiles keep on getting a error message saying login name or password is incorrect.  Can anyone assist me with this, or just help me in the right direction    if this is the wrong forum.  Thanks
