Hi, have an assignment that's behaving strange, I cannot grade some of the students submissions and cannot find any settings I may have done wrong. It looks like this:
Hi Peter,
You have overridden those grades in the gradebook, therefore you can no longer update them from the assignment interface.
You can go to the Grades, click Turn editing on , click edit icon near each overridden grade (highlighted with the yellow background) and then remove overridden flag.
After that you will be able to update grades from the assignment again.
Or you can continue to make changes for those students via gradebook Grader report instead.
Hi Elena, I have the same problem
I'm the administrator of our platform, and a teacher can't grade some students. The teacher don't know how this happen and me neither.
How a grade can be overriden?

Three are 2 ways to override grades:
- Enter the grades via the gradebook for an existing activity (e.g., for the assignment column). Instructor can go to the Grades > Grader report, click Turn Editing On and type grades in cells, then click Update at the bottom.
- One can also Import the grades via the .csv file into the gradebook and map them to the existing assignment columns, therefore overriding the grades that way as well.

Solution: set plugin in gradebook.
