Hi,

I am working on Time management skill in Moodle. I am stuck with Quiz and Grading section. I want to work out for scale levels for Students of K12. I want  grading should be shown to student to examine their level of skill.

It should be shown as below:

Give yourself one point for each “a” answer, two points for each “b” answer, three points for each “c” answer, and four points for each “d” answer.

YOUR POINT TOTAL:

Evaluate Yourself According to the Following Scale:

Excellent: 55 - 60

Mediocre: 30 -44

Good: 45 - 54

Poor: 29 or below

I am stuck, how to deal with this in moodle 1.9+

Note: there are 20 questions on this skill and all have 4 options to choose one which will be suitable for them.

Thanks in advance !

Moniya

The Lesson activity (rather than quiz) would take care of the calculating automatically.  Also, in the quiz, if each question is woth four points and each 'a' is worth 25% to 'd' worth 100%, the calculations would also be automatic.  Activity feedback would be able to provide the results "Excellent...Poor".

Thanks Bob, for your kind reply. But i am failing to get that grades, even in lesson activity. The lesson plan would be like this ......

Please circle the answer that most closely describes your situation.

(a) Six or more                        (b) Four to five

(c) Two to three                      (d) One or less

3. How much time do you spend each week in other activities outside your study (e.g., hobbies, exercising, social and cultural events, etc.)?

(a) Three hours or less             (b) Four to five hours

(c) Six to nine hours                (d) Ten or more hours

4. How much time do you spend each day “socializing” on the job (e.g., extended coffee breaks, late luncheons, long visits with other supervisors, etc.)?

(a) Two hours or more (b) Sixty to ninety minutes

(c) Fifteen to thirty minutes    (d) Less than fifteen minutes

5. How many separate stacks of work are usually on your desk during the day?

(a) Three stacks or more          (b) Two stacks

(c) One stack                           (d) My desk is clear

6. How much of your work do you delegate?

(a) Very little                           (b) About twenty-five percent

(c) Forty to fifty percent         (d) More than fifty percent

7. How often do you approach and discuss things with people on a oneon- one basis in the course of a day?

(a) None                                  (b) At least once

(c) Twice                                 (d) More than two

Give yourself one point for each “a” answer, two points for each “b” answer, three points for each “c” answer, and four points for each “d” answer.

YOUR POINT TOTAL:

Evaluate Yourself According to the Following Scale:

Excellent: 55 - 60

Mediocre: 30 -44

Good: 45 - 54

Poor: 29 or below

can you pls specify the steps how to deal with this issue. Sorry for really basic Q. I appreciate your help. Thanks

In the quiz create each multiple choice question so that:

  1. default question grade = 4
  2. grade for answer 1 is selected 25%; 2 is 50%; 3 is 75%; 4 is 100%

Update the quiz so the overall feedback is as desired on the desired grade boundaries (bottom of page)
