Wiki edit queue

Wiki edit queue

Hi,

Some of our teachers are using the Wiki (Moodle 1.9.x) so students can choose a title for their seminar work (they write their own name beside the title thus "reserving" the subject). When the list of available titles is published there is of course a lot of activity to reserve "the best" title.

One complaint I hear from students a lot, is that they have to keep refreshing the wiki page (clicking the edit button) and hope that the previous edit is done so they'll be next.

Is there a way (module, patch, add-on?) to create some kind of "edit queue" so when a user isn't able to edit a wiki he is put in a waiting line (receives a notification/number of how many users are in front of him) and when the edit by the previous users is finished the edit page is automatically loaded for him?

Is there any difference in the Wiki 2.0 module? I've done some testing on qa.moodle.net but if I understand correctly that wiki won't be the same as in the final Moodle 2.0 version.

Thanks in advance.

Borut
