Many of my colleagues and students find it difficult with the Moodle default password requirement: "The password must have at least 8 characters, at least 1 digit(s), at least 1 lower case letter(s), at least 1 upper case letter(s), at least 1 non-alphanumeric character(s)". The reason is that they normally use 6 lowercase letters with other logins such as their outside emails.
I have noted that it can be changed through: site administration--> security--> site policy. To change it, I guess I have to change the default value of 8 to 6 and 1 to 0, is this right or should I delete the default 1 and leave that space blank?
Once taken of these stringent requirements, is there any possiblilty for any malfunctioniong or problems with ordinary passwords for users, for example 6 (instead of 8 letters as it is now) lowercase letters.
Thanks
Tom
