Hi from Cork, Ireland!

I wish to set up as a Moodle teacher but I am not attached to a school or other institute which uses the platform.

Where could I set myself up as an Online Career Advisor and teacher at low cost for test purposes?

Ian, you might consider creating your own Moodle at a free hosting service (you can often get your own subdomain for free) or low cost solution such as bluehost.com.  http://moodlenews.com/hosting has a few options.

Best of luck!  Make sure you share a URL to wherever you hang your virtual Moodle shingle.

try www.freewebclass.com. it is free and you can create you own classes with moodle server hosted and set for you -ready to use. I have my own now. it's mratteya.freewebclass.com
