I want to create a autosuggest box for moodle in my view.php but 'grepping' through the source for autocomplete and autosuggest only shows me that 'something' is included, but I don't see any modules actually using it (as found in HTML_QuickForm_autocomplete)
Even forms like admin/user.php don't use autosuggest/autocomplete.
So my question(s) are:
1) Is autocomplete working in moodle2?
2) Should I use HTML_QuickForm_autocomplete, or should I just brew my own using jQuery for example?
I do mention jQuery, but that seems to be a bit easer to implement then yui3, I only found 3 samples with yui3 (http://yuilibrary.com/gallery/search?p=autocomplete) and not do remove data retreival using XML or JSON.
I never really worked with yui(2 or3) so I might be way off, and any sampel code for my view.php would by highly appricieated. Even a pointer to a existing Moodle 2 module would help. Currently I am just poking in the dark.
Using $PAGE->requires->yui_module($modules, $function), doesn't sound helpful yet (although I think I need it) but it doesn't specify what I should fill in there, or how the API is used.
