As mentioned in this post, I have been using a Dell Poweredge server for the last 2 years. The server has CentOS on it. Everything has been going very very well but I'm beginning to run out of hard disk space and want to increase it. At the moment I have an SAS hard drive. I need to add more space for userdata. The type of user data will be: uploaded (to forums) video in mpg, wmv and other formats.
My questions are these:
As SAS are more expensive, is it possible to mix and add different types of hard drive? Would different hard drives be very different in the way they handle userdata (I'm very happy with the speed of the setup now!)
Once I add the space, will moodle automatically point to it or will I have to change something in config? (or something else?)
Sorry for double posting, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
