Is there any consideration for making it possible to take the grades from multiple courses and combine them into one?
This can be accomplished through backup and restore. If you are only bringing over manual (inserted from the gradebook, not from an activity like quiz or assignment) then you would need to include grade histories in the backup and also include grade histories in the restore.
