Rest easy! No one is doing well to promote plagiarism: in Australia, the rate of prosecution in universities is around 1% from recent reports.

The irony is that we want our students to discover information for themselves; bring it back home; and reference where they found it! That's ideal. Too many of them still regard education as a quiz program. They answer off the top of their head from a shallow knowledge-base. They think it is "cheating" to refer to a book.
